Sensory Garden Experience

Come to your senses is a thoughtfully designed, welfare-first experience that allows dogs to engage with the natural world in ways that feel safe, natural and enriching to them. This is not a training session or a place to "perform" - it's an opportunity for your dog to explore, decompress, and process their environment at their own pace.

The garden offers a variety of carefully curated sensory stations that encourage natural canine behaviors such as sniffing, digging, foraging, climbing and exploring novel textures and scents.  Dogs are always given choice and control over their participation, with no pressure to interact with anything they're not ready for.

This experience is especially beneficial for:

​

• Dogs who may feel overwhelmed in traditional training or group settings

• Shy, sensitive, or fearful dogs who need low-pressure enrichment

• Dogs who benefit from decompression, confidence-building, or mental stimulation

• Any dog who simply deserves time to be a dog.

Handlers are encouraged to observe their dog's body language, notice preferences, and learn how sensory input impacts their emotional state.  This creates a deeper understanding of your dog as an individual and strengthens trust and communication between you.

Our approach prioritizes emotional safety, autonomy, and respect for behavioral diversity.  Every dog experiences the garden differently - and that's exactly the point. There is no "right" way to participate.
