Autumn is the season for change. Change has me thinking about adapting. When we can adapt to the changes, and even welcome them, we build our resilience.

We've been busy behond the scenes and we'll be announcing some updates soon about our Nature Trail Walks, Daytime Adventures and Sensory Experience programs to promote canine welfare. Through these programs we can provide appropriate outlets for natural behavior. Stay tuned!

Do Certifications Matter in Dog Training?

The short answer is yes. When hiring a dog trainer, it is important to know what questions to ask. It should be a priority to ask about the trainer's qualifications, certifications/licensure and ethics; whatmethods the trainer will use when working with your dog, and what the trainer will actually teach you and your dog.

Certified dog trainers undergo testing and are held to higher standards compared to those without certification. To maintain their certification, they must pursue ongoing education in canine behavior and stay updated with the latest science and research. Licensed professionals are required to complete an interview process and pay annual dues, ensuring they uphold the mission, ethics, and integrity of the organization they are affiliated with.
